We love the Prime Rib and for the most part everything has been above average. We may be a little less pleased with the seafood having just moved back from the coast where the seafood was fresh and plentiful. We prefer to support local establishments instead of the chains.

As a Terre Haute native, Kleptz is a local institution and a welcome break from the mall-genre chain restaurants. Ambience is warm, staff have always been pleasant to me. My husband loves the steaks, but I prefer their salads and desserts, particularly the homemade pies (made by the owner).

The worst thing I can say about Kleptz is that there is sometimes a wait for table, particularly on Fridays and saturdays (when they serve prime rib).
